The differece is these are slabs that are once in a lifetime slabs, some kept in reserve storage for special projects and cleints looking to find wood with unmatched history and charactor. Some would include slabs from a Claro Walnut tree planted by a Civil War General, John Bidwell​. The slabs have beautiful color and charactor and history like few others.
